HomeEverest Base Camp & Kala Pattar Trek
Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar Trekking offer an enduring adventure experience of the beauty of natural, geographical glory and deep cross-cultural discovery. The Khumbu’s Sherpas residents, below Mount Everest the great valley, believe that all things - mountains, plants and animals are sacred. This trek is characteristic approach to Gokyo & Kalapattar - the highest point on earth. Solu Khumbu is understandably well-known, not only for its closeness to the world's highest mountain but also for its Monasteries and Sherpa villages. The main goal of an Everest trek is the Everest Base Camp at an altitude of about 5,340 m but as Everest can not be seen from the Everest base camp, we ascend Kalapattar, an inconspicuous meter bump on the southern flank of Mt. Pumori (7,145 m). As this trek has no trail to make circle, hence we will have to make to and fro same route. This is the only one disadvantage of this trekking trip. The trek starts in Lukla after taking a 35-minute’s mountain flight from Kathmandu.
Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar trekking trip itinerary, we prepare short and long as per the guest’s requirement. This trek area has good Trekkers lodge (Teahouse) facilities managed by Everest National park hotels/ lodge management committees and eco-aware local persons. We can also arrange tented camping.
