Markha Valley Trek:
Day 01/ Delhi-Arrival
Arrive at Delhi international airport, you will be received by the representative of HTOI and would be further assisted & transferred to your hotel. Rest of the time is kept free to recover from jetlag. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 02/ Delhi-Leh (The capital city of Ladakh)
| In the morning, you would be transferred to the airport to board the flight to Leh (the gateway of Ladakh). On arrival at Leh airport, you would be received and assisted to your hotel. Check in to the guest house. Rest of the day is kept free to get acclimatized with Ladakhi climate. Because Ladakh is a high altitude plateau and at least a day is required for acclimatization. Ladakh is a part of Indian State Jammu & Kashmir. Ladakh is also known as mini Tibet. Stay overnight at the traditional guesthouse. |

Day 03/ Leh- Shey-Thiksey-Hemis-Leh

Today take a daylong sightseeing tour of Leh area. Visit Shey Gompa or Shey Palace, which is approximately 15 KMS away from Leh town. Shey Palace was used as the summer palace for the Ladakhi Kings. Near to the Shey Palace There are many Stupas and Gompas. Shey Palace was made in the starting period of 17th century AD by Deldan Namgyal. In the Dresthang Gompa, one can see the 12 meters statue of Shakyamuni Buddha – this is the major attraction of Shey Palace. Also visit Thiksey Monastery or Thiksey Gompa – it is 17 KMS far from Leh and near to the Shey Palace. Thiksey Monastery belongs to Gelukspa order and is one of the most attractive monasteries in Ladakh. Later take a tour of Hemis Monastery located 45 KMS from Leh in the South direction. Hemis Monastery is one of the largest and most popular monasteries of Ladakh. Every year Hemis festival is celebrated here which is the very colorful and represents rich Ladakhi culture. Hemis Monastery is associated with Drukpa order and built in 17th of century. The location of Hemis Monastery is quite perfect as this monastery is cradled at a beautiful valley and the lovely streams are surrounding it. Hemis Monastery is faced by the huge walls. Stay overnight at the guesthouse. |
Day 04/ Leh-Spituk-Trek to Zinchen (3200 meters)
| After having breakfast depart Leh in the early morning through 4WD Jeep and arrive at Spituk. The journey from Leh to Spituk will take around one hour. Later visit the Spituk Gompa, built about 500 years ago. Start the trek from here by crossing a bridge and walking south-west of the river Indus. This section takes us to the Indus and Zinchen’s confluence. Stay overnight in the camp close to a village in Zinchen area. |

Day 05/ Zinchen-Rumbak-Yurutse (3900 meters)

Today, start climbing from Zinchen up to Rumbak. One can have the fabulous views of the snow clad Mountains of Stok. From Rumbak, we will walk through the Rumbak Nala for Yurutse. Arrive at Yurutse, check in to the hotel. In the village of Yurutse, one can see the potatoes and barley fields. Stay overnight in the camp. |
Day 06/ Yurutse-Ganda La-Skiu (3100 meters)
Today, trek to Ganda La (4900 M). Have a spectacular view of the ranges of Zanskar and isolated peaks of the Himalayan. Arrive at a village called Shingo. From Shingo village, we will move through a narrow gorge to Skiu. Arrive Skiu, check in to the tents. Here is a meeting point of two rivers of Markha and Shingo valley.

Day 07/ Skiu-Markha (3800 meters)

Today take the pleasant hike up to Markha valley. On this trail, we will cross many beautiful streams. Markha is a charming village having an abandoned fort and a tiny village. Stay overnight at the camp in Markha. |
Day 08/ Markha-Thochuntse
| After having breakfast, walk to Thochuntse. On the way from Markha to Thochuntse, you will cross many rivers as there will not be any bridge over there. You will also see the Hankar a highest village of Markha valley. Stay overnight in the tents. |

Day 09/ Thochuntse-Nimaling (4700 meters)

In the morning, trek towards Nimaling visiting many Mani walls (the carved walls of Buddhist prayers) and various Chorten on the way. This valley is one of the gorgeous in Ladakh among other high valleys and Kangyaze peak dominates it. Stay overnight in the tents. |
Day 10/ Nimaling-Kongmaru La (5150 meters)-Sumdo
| After breakfast cross towards the north side in Markha valley ascending to the peak of the highest amongst the major three passes mountain Kongmaru La. Have the fabulous views from Kongmaru La’s top. Here are many snow covered mountain peaks in everywhere and one can see Karakoram’s giants with K2 on a clear day in the northern western horizon. This path will descend towards the Martselang valley followed by Martselang stream in Sumdo village. Stay overnight in the tents at Sumdo. |

Day 11/ Sumdo-Hemis (04 HRS Trek)-Leh

Today trek town along with the Martselang here it widens in the Indus valley near Martselang village. Embark the jeep which is waiting for you. Reach to Leh via Hemis Shey and Thiksey monastery. Arrive at Leh, check in to the hotel. |
Day 12/ Leh-Delhi
| Today you will be transferred to Leh airport to catch the spectacular flight back to Delhi. Arrive at Delhi airport, transfer to the hotel. Rest of the time is kept free at your discretions. Stay overnight at the hotel. |

Day 13/ Delhi-Departure
At appropriate time, you will be transferred to the international airport to embark the flight back to the onward destination. The tour will culminate here.
