Pick from Cochin and transfer to Oberoi Motor Vessel Vrinda. Check in to the cruise at 1300 HRS and once all the travellers have checked in. The Vrinda sails over the Vembanad Lake and comes at canal of Alleppey. On board, have lunch. The cruiser will sail through the picturesque waterways for few HRS and comes back to Vembanad Lake to view the beautiful sunset. In the evening, enjoy a live performance of the traditional Kathakali dance this dance speaks the stories of Ramayana and Mahabharata – the great Hindu epics. The Dance performance starts with applying the complicated makeup that is based on ancient Ayurvedic rules. The Vrinda anchors for overnight at the jetty of Vembanad Lake.
In the morning the Vessel sails from Vembanad Lake jetty to Alleppey. Have breakfast on the way. The Vrinda enters into the Pamba River’s waterways by Alleppey canal. While sailing in the gorgeous Kerala backwaters, you can simply observe the life style along with the water highways. Travel by one of the some places in the world there below the level of sea the farming is done. The vessel anchors close to Kanjippadam and transfer to a Kerala’s traditional Rice Boat for navigating by the thinner parts of Kerala Backwaters. For next couple of hours, you can view and experience the way of the life especially into this area along with an expert guide. This cruise excursion will also include a tour of Lord Buddha’s half-statue in Karumadi and an ancient Tharavad of Kerala (a family residence). Today, in the morning Motor Vessel Vrinda sails from Vembanad Lake jetty to Kanjippadam. Vrinda anchors close to Chambakulam here you again will be transferred to the rice boat for the sightseeing tour. Take a tour of St. Mary’s Church – this was established in 1721 A.D. by St. Thomas, Sree Bhagavathy Kshetram – it is a hundred year old temple of Hindus dedicated to Mother Goddess located at Nedumudy. You may explore Chambakulam snake boat courtyard this shows one of the ancient big snake cruises used for the races. Motor Vessel Vrinda returns to the Vembanad Lake in the late afternoon, here watch a traditional performance of Mohiniattam dance. This is a classical dance art characteristic in Kerala and also known as an Enchantress’s Dance. The artists dressed in the wonderful costumes dance with elegant movements, slow and highly touchy expressions. Stay overnight on board.
In the morning Motor Vessel Vrinda sails in the north through the key waterway channels over Vembanad Lake. The breakfast is served on the board and after that the Motor Vessel Vrinda returns towards Vembanad Lake jetty.
