West India Tour The major states of West India are Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa and the union territories of Daman & Diu. Goa is world famous for its exotic beaches, spices and backwater. In the state of Maharashtra, one can see the world heritage sites as the rock cut Elephanta Caves, Ajanta & Ellora Caves and CST Station in Mumbai previously known as Victoria terminus, Mumbai the capital city of Maharashtra is also the commercial capital of India. The attractions of Mumbai are Gateway of India, Kanheri Caves and Bollywood film studios. Maharashtra has many medieval forts and tombs as Daulatabad Fort and Bibi-Ka-Maqbara etc. West India has various national parks & wildlife sanctuaries as Nagzira and Tadoba national parks. Maharashtra too has many Hindu pilgrimage centers as Nashik, Shirdi and Grishneshwar.

The state of Gujarat is quite rich in terms of heritage, culture, history, wildlife & religion. Lothal & Dholavira have the remains from great Indus Valley Civilization. The famous Hindu pilgrimage centers of Gujarat are Dwarka, Somnath and Junagarh. The major Jain pilgrimage places are Palitana, Taranga and Kumbharia etc. The attractions of Gujarat are Modhera Sun temple, Patan Step Well, Adalaj Step Well, Sidi Syed Masjid known as Jali Mosque and Champaner Archeological Park. Gujarat is well known for its textiles and handicrafts. For wildlife enthusiastic, Gujarat is a must visit destination as highly endangered Asiatic Lion live in Gir Wildlife Sanctuary and Wild Ass in Little Rann of Kutch. Along with these wild animals Gujarat too has many bird species. Gujarat has very diverse culture as many tribes are living in the state as Rabari, Garacia, Jaths, Meghwar, Garacias, Rathwas, Bhils, Kunbis, Ahir and Muthwas. The beaches of Gujarat are also quite famous like Mandvi etc.
